Anchored Hearts series by J.M. Witt

I've found another author to add to my list of favorites!  J.M. Witt!!

When she recently asked who hadn't read the first two in her Anchored Hearts series, and I responded, she kindly gifted me a copy of each.  As soon as I finished the book I'd been reading, I jumped into Letting Go...and I didn't want to let it go.  Then I jumped right into Hiding Away.  I was so wrapped up in these characters that I didn't hesitate to buy Letting Go of You.

So who are these characters that claimed a piece of me?  First we meet Cassidy, an up and coming party planner whose life changes in one night.  Then we have James, aka JB3, the rich playboy who is hotter than the Sahara during a heat wave.  But what is his connection to that tragic night?  And what demons is he fighting?

But wait....one hottie just isn't enough!  We also have Cal (Calvin).  Cassidy's overprotective big brother. If you love a guy in uniform, he's the one for you - a cop and Army vet.  And when Cal meets Jane, the sparks fly!  Jane....who just happens to be James' cousin.

So did you meet everyone?  Nope!  Ms. Witt apparently thought the ladies needed more variety and so she also added Paul to the mix.  You'll have to read the series yourself to see how he fits in.

I do need to tell you that this series is definitely for the 18 and over crowd.  There is a lot of sex.  Some might say too much sex, but I'm not "some".  I don't have an issue with sex in the stories I read.  If it's written well and not just for the "wow" factor, it can make for a fabulous read.  And J.M. Witt writes it well.

There are so many things that I loved about this series.  The characters definitely got under my skin.  But the way it was written was so great.  We have book 1 (Letting Go) which was mainly about Cassidy and James.  With book 1.5 (Hiding Away), we have Cal and Jane's story.  It actually overlaps parts of Letting Go and we get to see things from another view.  I loved it!  And when we jump back to Letting Go of You, we're back to Cassidy and James, but even the beginning of that one overlaps Hiding Away.  Seeing things from each person's point of view was great.
